re: Submission

To whom it may concern:

I would like to submit the word "craptastic" for your review. I note that this word has not yet appeared in your esteemed book of lexicography. I feel that this is a grave oversight and one that should be remedied.

The first written use of this word of which I am aware occurs in the letter I wrote to 20th Century Fox in which I used the word "craptastic" to describe the movie "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" (see attached).

The following information should be sufficient to create an entry:

Craptastic:

Pronunciation: krap-tas-tik
Etymology: crap + fantastic
Definition: 1. adj. Fantastically crappy, horrible.
First usage: 1995 Letter from Robert **** to 20th Century Fox: "Robin Hood: Men in Tights was one of the most craptastic movies I have ever seen."

If you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned.

A budding lexicographer,

Robert ******
